How did you get into health and fitness?
I have always been sporty and into living a healthy lifestyle from a young age. I played all the sports you can imagine from swimming to cricket to athletics to football to rugby. I also had a full high school sports scholarship and after leaving school, while playing professional rugby, I studied sport science.

I am passionate about challenging my body and pushing it to the limit and eating and training daily is part of who I am. It’s something I really enjoy and it makes me feel great!

What areas do you specialise in?
I specialise in body composition and weight loss, as well as general fitness and muscle building. I also specialised further into my studies by adding pre and post-natal training, as well as training for older adults and children.

Why do you love your job?
I love my job because I love seeing people change not only their bodies buy also their minds and overall lifestyles to become a better version of themselves. All of this by just making the correct choices and staying dedicated, disciplined and determined.

What’s your top overall health tip?
I’ve actually got 10!

  1. Get enough rest
  2. Eat breakfast
  3. Plan your meals
  4. Cut processed foods
  5. Make exercise a priority
  6. Be consistent in your diet/exercise daily
  7. Ditch sugar
  8. Don’t skip meals
  9. Drink plenty of water

What’s your biggest tip for anyone new to working out?
Be consistent and patient – it’s about quality not quantity.

Start light. Practicing form and technique is the key to perfecting the right movements in order to get the full benefits of lifting and changing your body. More importantly, it’ll also help to prevent injury.

 What annoys you in the gym?
A few things!

  • People who grunt and make loud noises.
  • When the equipment is faulty.
  • When the air conditioning doesn’t work
  • When the music is not good

All my Pura meals! It’s all I eat, 7 Days a week. Besides that I also usually have some pineapple, water, Greek yogurt and eggs.

What’s your best nutrition tip?
Eat regularly and drink lots of fluids to remain hydrated.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Red velvet cake and pizza
